We’re seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Specialist to support the health and safety of our high-quality, multi-facility veterinary center. This position goes beyond cleaning—it’s about upholding the highest standards of sanitation, safety, and comfort in a medical setting that cares for beloved pets every day.

What You’ll Do
You’ll be responsible for meticulous daily cleaning, disinfection, and facility repairs and upkeep across our 2 connected veterinary buildings.
- Sanitation & Cleaning Duties
- Clean and disinfect exam rooms, treatment areas, bathrooms, staff spaces areas using medical-grade protocols
- Maintain client spaces to the highest-level of cleanliness, comfort, and visual appeal
- Develop and maintain a routine schedule for deep-cleaning walls, floors, doors, door frames, windows, vents, and baseboards
- Maintain outdoor areas: power washing patios, cleaning artificial turf, dusting and washing outdoor furniture, sail shades, and signage
- Spearhead supply ordering wish lists and ensure all cleaning materials are neatly and safely stored
- Facility Maintenance Tasks
- Perform light handyman work: paint touch-ups, patching holes, caulking, re-securing shelving, tightening hardware
- Troubleshoot and perform small repairs to fixtures, cabinetry, and plumbing (e.g., slow drains, leaky faucets)
- Replace and track a variety of lightbulbs
- Organize and optimize storage spaces and janitorial closets
- Assist with routine safety inspections and minor landscaping tasks
- Identify and report larger repair needs promptly to management
What We’re Looking For
- Prior custodial or facility maintenance experience, especially in a medical, veterinary, or lab setting is strongly preferred
- Comfortable with cleaning chemicals, ladder use, power tools, and small equipment
- Reliable, proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused
- Strong physical stamina and attention to detail
- Able to work independently and communicate clearly with team members
Work Hours
- 20–25 hours/week
- Flexible work hours – choose the shift that works best for you! Evening, overnight, or early-morning shifts acceptable (anytime 7pm to 6:30am, Monday through Friday)
- Some weekend flexibility appreciated for special projects
Compensation & Benefits
- $17.00–$21.00/hour, depending on experience
