Rehabilitation Technician
Full-Time
We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and service-oriented Veterinary Canine Rehabilitation Technician to join our team long-term. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for pets and their families through exceptional care and personalized rehabilitation programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Rehabilitation Practitioner with treatment plans and exercise protocols for canine & feline patients.
- Read and interpret animal behavior and body language, identifying signs of discomfort, stress, or pain.
- Monitor patient progress and provide hands-on assistance during therapy sessions.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain rehabilitation exercises, progress, and home-care protocols.
- Utilize computer systems for scheduling, record-keeping, and client communications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for both pets and people.
Ideal Candidate Traits
- Experience in Animal Care and Behavior: A solid understanding of animal behavior and handling techniques, ensuring the comfort and safety of our patients.
- Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with a client-first attitude.
- Technology Savvy: Proficient with computer systems and willing to learn new software.
- Bilingual: Ability to communicate in multiple languages is a huge plus!
- Hardworking and Committed: A reliable team member with a long-term outlook.
- Energetic and Upbeat: Enthusiastic, motivated, and passionate about animal rehabilitation with a drive for initiative.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in animal care, veterinary settings, or physical rehabilitation is required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow protocols.
- Ability to lift and maneuver animals of various sizes, up to 40lbs without assistance.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
