Rehabilitation Technician

Full-Time

We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and service-oriented Veterinary Canine Rehabilitation Technician to join our team long-term. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for pets and their families through exceptional care and personalized rehabilitation programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Rehabilitation Practitioner with treatment plans and exercise protocols for canine & feline patients.
  • Read and interpret animal behavior and body language, identifying signs of discomfort, stress, or pain.
  • Monitor patient progress and provide hands-on assistance during therapy sessions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to explain rehabilitation exercises, progress, and home-care protocols.
  • Utilize computer systems for scheduling, record-keeping, and client communications.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for both pets and people.

Ideal Candidate Traits

  • Experience in Animal Care and Behavior: A solid understanding of animal behavior and handling techniques, ensuring the comfort and safety of our patients.
  • Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with a client-first attitude.
  • Technology Savvy: Proficient with computer systems and willing to learn new software.
  • Bilingual: Ability to communicate in multiple languages is a huge plus!
  • Hardworking and Committed: A reliable team member with a long-term outlook.
  • Energetic and Upbeat: Enthusiastic, motivated, and passionate about animal rehabilitation with a drive for initiative.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in animal care, veterinary settings, or physical rehabilitation is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow protocols.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver animals of various sizes, up to 40lbs without assistance.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
