Diesel

Diesel is a 10-year-old fun-loving pitbull with a heart of gold. In 2009, Isaac, one of Diesel's current owners, used to own Diesel, but having a full-time job while being a full-time student meant that he couldn't give Diesel the love he needed and unfortunately gave him away to a good family as an informal adoption. Back in September 2015 Isaac received a call from Maricopa animal shelter saying that Diesel had been surrendered and the microchip was still registered to him. Immediately upon receiving the news Isaac and his girlfriend Simone drove up to rescue Diesel. For Simone, it was love at first sight and for Isaac, it was like no time had past. Once the frightfulness of being in the shelter wore off, Diesel remembered Isaac and was so happy to be reunited. However, his struggles weren't over just yet. Shortly after adopting Diesel, his owners received the news that he had a thyroid tumor the size of a tennis ball. Fortunately the cancer had not spread, the tumor was operable, and Diesel is now cancer free! Diesel is the greatest gift his owners could have received and they are enjoying giving him a second lease on life while spoiling him rotten! Diesel loves his PAWS Veterinary family and wants to thank you for taking the best care of him so he can make the most of his time left on earth!

Testimonial

After many pets and many vets- this was the most thorough exam my pet has ever been through. Dr. Thurston focused entirely on our pet. This is the first time that our dog let a stranger touch her with complete trust.Thank you!
